Software Engineer (m/f/d) SureSmile Platforms & Ortho Treatment CAD/CAM

For our R&D site in Berlin, we are looking for a full stack Software Engineer (m/f/d) to support the SureSmile platforms development team. You will join a cross-functional team in the heart of Berlin, and contribute to the growth of our SureSmile orthodontic product portfolio. SureSmile is a major and fast growing player in the orthodontic clear aligner business segment. Your focus will be on the extension, enhancement and support of the AWS deployed software solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend and UI programming for SureSmile web application

  • Implement prioritized change requests on the current SureSmile platform

  • Support the API design & development to support the SureSmile backend integration with the DS Core platform

  • Production support, monitoring and maintenance of the SureSmile platforms code base and its integration with 3rd party systems

  • Technical support for our production environment

  • Own the technical documentation and automated testing for new added or changed functionality

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics or related engineering disciplines (algorithmic, mathematical, or numerical background)

  • +3 years experience as full stack software developer

  • In-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails, CSS and JavaScript

  • Programming skills with C++, C# and experience in object oriented design is beneficial

  • Profound knowledge of Visual Studio, Windows API, Windows-Subsystem für Linux and Docker

  • Basic skills in database design, SQL scripting (PL/pgSQL) and Redis

  • Experience with AWS cloud services and monitoring tools (DataDog, Splunk), in addition to knowledge in using Git/GitHub as version control system

  • Teamplayer with excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken). German is a plus
