EMEA Indirect Tax Accountant II

Purpose of the role

-support the monthly and quarterly and annula financial close processes through timely and accurate execution of the financial close checklists and general Accounting's policies and procedures.

-provide services as assigned within and across teams

Responsibilities:

-Complete all VAT related accounting activities upon which VAT returns depend, including control checks of transaction data and review of supporting tax documentation.

-Responsible for VAT Returns: filling, deadline, payments (and supplementary forms Intrastat) for all the EMEA Companies.

-Coordinate and support all EMEA Companies for the projects, systems and ERP modules implementation.

-Liaising with multiple departments concerning VAT and Intrastat compliance and queries.

-VAT refund calculation, preparation of VAT reports supporting the calculation.

-Communication with Internal Tax departments (EMEA) and external auditors or Tax authorities

-Coordination and Initiating of VAT payments.

-Intrastat reporting and filing with close collaboration with supply chain teams.

-Prepare, document, and process journal entries as defined by the monthly closing checklists and -General Accounting policies and procedures.

-Ensure that all supporting documentation is properly filed and stored in accordance with policy.

-Complete designated account reconciliations by policy due dates and ensure timely follow-up and resolution of reconciling items to ensure proper balances are maintained in the general ledgers monthly.

-Complete designated reports and submit to divisional, corporate, or other Global Business Services contact by defined due dates

Requirements

•Advanced excel skills required

•VAT experience is a must

•SAP S/4 Hanna, Blackline, Vertex

•Knowledge of PowerPoint, SharePoint, Microsoft •Dynamics and other ERP systems preferred

•Proficient in large automated accounting and reporting systems, including data extract and report compilation.

•Excellent working knowledge of internal controls procedures

•Strong analytical/problem solving skills.

•Working knowledge and experience in customer service processes preferred.

•Motivated self-starter with strong decision-making, communication, organization and multi-tasking abilities.

•Ability to build relationships with all levels of an organization

•Possess a keen attention to detail

•Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.

•Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and influence stakeholders.

•A can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment and strives to excel in a growing team.
